I had planned to start next Saturday running the St. Paddy’s Tacoma Half Marathon before heading to the Seattle RV Show. Instead, I was given a choice: the race, or the show. Sometimes work makes the decision for you.

Four hours of music, the smell of gumbo in the air, and motorcycles lined up under showroom lights — not a bad way to start the year. I kicked off 2026 with a Mardi Gras celebration at Destination Harley-Davidson of Silverdale, playing a long set while king cake was sliced, mocktails were poured, and a friendly gumbo cook-off kept things interesting. It was relaxed, loud in the right ways, and exactly the kind of room I like to play.
